Funding Opportunity for Census Outreach!

United Way Bay Area (UWBA) is accepting applications from Bay Area nonprofit and government organizations to conduct census outreach and questionnaire assistance across the 7-county region (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Solano Counties).

UWBA will prioritize funding for organizations that can reach the following populations, which are currently underserved in the regional outreach ecosystem:

  • Black/African American community
  • People experiencing homelessness
  • Veterans
  • Seniors
  • People with disabilities
  • LGBTQ+ community
  • Native American/Tribal Communities

Organizations will be awarded grants between $5K and $25K and provided with training, print collateral in multiple languages, and other technical assistance.  Grantees will be asked to adhere to a regular reporting timeline, attend virtual trainings and other events, and promote the Bay Area Counts 2020 campaign to the communities they're serving.
