The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office started the North Fair Oaks Festival in 2000 to celebrate North Fair Oaks' cultural diversity and revitalize the community. In addition, it was a resource to promote local business and establish relationships with law enforcement, local business, community resource agencies, and other neighbors. As a result, the festival became a staple of community, culture, and tradition within the North Fair Oaks area.
